Dear Families,

We are excited that you are exploring Ventana School as a potential new home for your family. At Ventana, our curriculum is student-led and teacher-framed, a dynamic co-creation driven by the interests and questions of children and shaped by the expertise of teachers who nurture both social-emotional and academic skill development. This is exemplified by our commitment to inquiry work, an emergent and developmentally attuned practice of creative exploration and discovery. 

We understand that exploring independent schools can be a lot of work. My team and I are here to support you every step of the way. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our program and admissions process. You can sign up through Ravenna to attend admissions events, such as Open House and school tours, during the admissions season between September and January. At these events, you’ll have an opportunity to see our classrooms, meet our wonderful teachers, and experience the magic of the Reggio Emilia approach.

Important Admission Dates for School Year 2027-2028

• September 1, 2026
  Applications open through Ravenna

• January 11, 2027
  Deadline for preliminary applications in Ravenna
  For those applying for Flexible Tuition, deadline for applications and all supplemental documents in Clarity

  All families must complete the preliminary application steps in Ravenna by this date to move forward in the process.

• January 21, 2027

  Deadline for all required steps and forms in Ravenna

• January-February: Playgroups & Shadow Visits
  Preschool Playgroup: January 30, 2027

  Kindergarten Playgroup: February 6, 2027

  Shadow Visits for Elementary applicants

• March 11, 2027
  Admissions decision released for all grades

We strongly encourage families to complete all application steps by January 11th. For those who need extra time, the final deadline to submit all remaining requirements is January 21st.
