The Ventana Parent Association, a.k.a. VePA, is you.  There is nothing to sign, no fee to pay, and no membership card is issued. As you enroll your child(ren) at Ventana, your family automatically becomes a member of this parent-run organization. As an active member, you are invited to contribute your time and your voice in a variety of ways.

VePA has created a “Volunteer Form” that is included as part of the Enrollment Packet. Take a moment to look it over and determine where and when you might be able to provide your time, talent, or expertise. Visit this URL to see the scope and time commitment of each volunteer job. Don’t be overwhelmed! VePA stands ready to provide a mentor for each and every volunteer opportunity.  

Should you wish to have a greater voice, a position on the VePA Board may be something you might wish to pursue.  Join teachers, administrators, and other parents at the table. A seat on this parent Board provides an opportunity to help shape the activities of the school.

There are three, brief General Meetings each year.  Our annual Back to School Night is coupled with the first general meeting. This occurs in late August or early September. Our Mid-Year meeting occurs in January, and is part of a larger family event we call “Game Night/Hack-a-thon.” We finish the year with a meeting just prior to our May Celebration of Learning. Our VePA organization also provides the impetus for our annual Fall Fest and Spring Social/Auction. VePA assists with ticketing and/or hospitality for our evening Parent Education events as well as Coffee & Conversation mornings that happen monthly, throughout the year, and organizes autumn and spring Parent Work Days. 

Whether you are new to Ventana or an “old-hand,” we urge you to get involved with your school. Lend a hand. Enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of other Ventana parents.  There is something everyone can do to help us build a caring and sharing community.  VePA is YOU.
